How offline OCR works
Magnifier Zoom processes supported OCR recognition on the device. That makes it useful when you want quick text extraction from a receipt, sign, serial label, printed note or document while avoiding a cloud OCR upload step.
What you can do with recognized text
- Review the recognized result directly in the app.
- Copy text to the clipboard.
- Share recognized text using Android’s share sheet.
- Keep useful OCR results alongside saved captures.
OCR accuracy
OCR is an assistive convenience feature, not a guarantee of perfect transcription. Accuracy can be affected by blur, unusual fonts, curved surfaces, glare, handwriting, low contrast, extreme perspective and damaged print. Always verify important text against the original source.
Privacy
OCR recognition is designed to run offline on-device. Advertising, consent and billing components are separate services described in the Privacy Policy.
