What 120× means
Magnifier Zoom combines the camera’s available physical zoom range with additional digital magnification. On multi-camera devices, Pro can also expose manual lens controls where supported. The goal is to help you inspect details that are difficult to see at normal camera scale.
Stability at high zoom
Hand movement becomes dramatically more visible as magnification rises. Magnifier Zoom automatically requests high-zoom stabilization from 20× and above. Depending on the device, the app can prefer preview stabilization, use optical image stabilization, or fall back to digital/video stabilization. The app avoids forcing incompatible stabilization modes at the same time.

- Use strong, even light whenever possible.
- Brace your phone or hands against a stable surface at very high zoom.
- Use Freeze View after framing the subject.
- For text, consider offline OCR after you obtain a clear frame.
